Utah Safety Council to honor 22 companiesby Deseret Morning News The Utah Safety Council will recognize 22 individuals and organizations for workplace safety at its award meeting from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the Sheraton City Centre Hotel, 150 W. 500 South in Salt Lake City.The Award of Honor will go to Hexcel Corp. for the second straight year in recognition of continued improvement and sustained excellence in its safety program. The Award of Merit ‹ recognizing an incidence rate lower than the national average for the industry ‹ will go to American Express, Ames Construction Inc., Bodell Construction Co., BDL Mill, Bud Bailey Construction Co., Cache Valley Electric, Cerro Wire and Cable Co. Inc., Chevron Salt Lake Refinery, Chung and Associates Inc., Easton Technical Products, ITT Pro Services, Kennecott Utah Copper Bingham Mine, Kennecott Utah Copper Refinery, Kern River Gas Transmission Co., Morton Salt, R&O Construction Co., Sierra Pacific Power Co., Staker & Parson Cos., Superior Air Handling Corp., Wasatch Electric and Zero Manufacturing Inc |
