Landscape Center First-of-Its-Kind in Wasatch AreaSalt Lake City, UT -- June 23,2003 -- Staker & Parson Companies today announced the opening of its Landscape Center located at 1670 North Beck Street in Salt Lake City. The Landscape Center offers a wide variety of affordable, bulk landscape products which can be utilized to make landscapes more water efficient."For over fifty years, we have supplied quality rock products primarily to contractors, builders, and developers working in our community We are pleased to add landscapers and homeowners as new customers with our Landscape Center," said John Parson, CEO and President of Staker & Parson Companies. The new Landscape Center offers materials in bulk including barks, mulches, sod, decorative gravels and sands (7 different colors), chats (trail rock), and top soil. "In this time of great drought, we each must do our part to conserve water and with water rates expected to increase up to five cents, we wanted to offer products that helped in that conservation without compromising a beautiful landscape. The products we offer are great for Xeriscaping," said Brent Burr, Rock Products Sales Manager. Xeriscape is a water-efficient landscaping strategy that allows creating and maintaining a varied, colorful, even lush garden while conserving water.
